Tirant lo Blanc
"E Tirant, ab gran animo e esforc, cavalca contra los enemics de la fe."
— Joanot Martorell
The Premise
Constantinople burns. The walls that held for a thousand years are cracking under the Ottoman siege and the emperor clings to his last ally: a knight from distant lands. That knight is you.
Your class enters the imperial court in the darkest hours of the siege. There are maps to decipher, alliances to forge, a prison to escape from and a final battle to command. But nothing is what it seems in Byzantine politics. Every decision you make will change the fate of an empire.
You're not reading about Tirant. You are Tirant. And Constantinople needs you to be smarter than the sultan.

The Work
Written by Joanot Martorell in 1490, Tirant lo Blanc is the great chivalric novel of Catalan literature — and one of the first modern novels in Europe. Cervantes saved it from the bonfire in Don Quixote: "it is the best book in the world", says the priest.
But Tirant is no fairy-tale knight. He is a strategist, a politician, a clumsy lover. The novel mixes epic battles with palace intrigue, humour and a realism that surprises for its era. Our escape room captures that blend: the grandeur of the siege of Constantinople alongside the human, imperfect decisions that determine everything.
